This Superbowl analysis looks at how album sales, song sales and streaming activity for the halftime performers as well as songs featured in commercials were impacted. The analysis looks at the impact for the day of the event, Feb. 2nd, as well as for the day after the event across all forms of music consumption.

The impact highlights include:

  • Song sales for the songs performed by both Shakira & Jennifer Lopez jumped 1,374% on the day of the Super Bowl.
  • Old Town Road which was featured in the Doritos commercial and even included Lil Nas X himself in the commercial was the song that saw the biggest impact with a 141% increase in sales on the day the Doritos ad debuted.
